Sublative Resurfacing

Sublative Resurfacing

Sublative treatments with our elōs Plus® System deliver Radio Frequency (RF) energy to the skin in a fractural manner via an array of 64 multi-electrode pins housed within a disposable applicator. The heat produced by the RF energy create columns of thermal destruction within the dermis (middle layer of the skin) while causing minimal damage to the epidermis (top layer of the skin). The thermal destruction stimulates the breakdown of old, damaged tissues promoting the generation of new skin cells to replace scar tissues, while also stimulating the fibroblast within the dermis, promoting production of collagen and elastin, resulting in renewed firmness and elasticity to the regenerated skin.

Sublative treatments are unique due the beneficial warming effect of the RF energy, which not only stimulate collagen production, but additionally stimulates collagen remodeling. Collagen remodeling improves the texture of the skin through beneficial contraction of the existing collagen.

The typical treatment protocol is 3 treatments spaced 4-5 weeks apart which is recommended for optimal results, especially for acne scaring and wrinkles. The treatment is safe for all skin types, however the time taken to see results as well as the total number of required treatments varies from client to client and is dependant on the client’s skin condition.

A topical anesthetic is applied 30 minutes prior to treatment to ensure a comfortable pain-free treatment. Most clients describe the treatment as a sensation of warm pin pricks. For the first 24 hours following treatment a pink or red appearance and sunburn sensation is common.

A free consultation is required to determine if you are a good candidate for the treatment.
